City of Durham Non-City Agency Application Session February 19

Applications Now Available on City's Web Site; Applications Due March 14

Fast Facts:     

*         City of Durham 2008-2009 Non-City Agency (NCA) grant
applications are now available on the City's Web site at 
www.durhamnc.gov/departments/bms/grants.cfm.  NCA grants fund operations
between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009.

 

*         NCA grand funds can be used for any type of expenditure
(personnel, operating, capital and administrative or programmatic).
Agencies interested in applying for this funding should provide services
that support Durham City Council's eight goals.  NCA funds can only be
used for operations occurring within the city limits.

 

*         In order to be eligible for NCA funds, the agency must be
recognized as a 501(c) 3 non-profit by the Internal Revenue Service
(IRS), must be incorporated in the State of North Carolina, and must
provide services in the city.

 

*         The City is hosting an Application Assistance Session for
incorporated non-profit agencies interested in applying for NCA funding
during the upcoming fiscal year.  The assistance session serves to:

	*	Explain the application and evaluation process.
	*	Provide technical assistance with the application.
	*	Answer any questions applicants may have about the
application and evaluation process.

 

*         Applications are due into the City's Department of Budget and
Management Services no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2008.  

 

*         For additional information about NCA funding or the
application assistance session, visit the City's Web site at

Hardeman, corporate budget and management analyst and NCA program
coordinator with the City's Department of Budget and Management
