Letter to Editor 
published in today's Herald-Sun 
 
We, and the other volunteers for Keep Durham Beautiful, are very
grateful that rain has returned to our beautiful community, replenishing
our communal water resources and nourishing our homes and businesses. 

Although the rains bring tremendous relief, it is imperative that we
remain prepared for this coming summer and the years to come. We ask
that you NOT abandon your daily conservation habits such as using gray
water, shutting off taps while brushing your teeth, collecting rain for
later use, and keeping vehicle washes to a minimum.

We pledge to continue our own conscious conservative use of water, and
urge that every person in Durham do the same.
