Durham JobLink Debuts New Internet-Based System to Help Job Seekers

 

What:              Durham JobLink's New S.H.A.R.E. Directory

 

Who:               Durham JobLink Career Center and the City of Durham's
Office of Economic and Workforce Development

 

When:             Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. 

 

Where:            Antioch Baptist Community Center

                        1415 Holloway Street

                        Durham, N.C. 27703

 

Fast Facts:

*         The Sharing How Access to Resources Empowers (S.H.A.R.E.)
Directory is designed to improve the effectiveness of the Durham JobLink
System by linking citizens, government agencies, faith-based
organizations and community organizations.  

 

*         Durham citizens will now be able to connect to the S.H.A.R.E.
Directory using Durham JobLink's One-Stop Career System to gain access
to over 100 services, such as child care and transportation, by
conducting searches according to state, county, city or zip code.

 

*         The S.H.A.R.E. Directory also includes a link which allows
Durham citizens to print a map to a specific service provider location
as well as print a service referral.

 

*         The S.H.A.R.E. Directory will be available at the Antioch
Baptist Community Center on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
