City of Durham Announces Storm Debris Removal Schedule

Removal Will Occur On Normal Household Collection Day; Residents Urged
To Have Debris Curbside By 6 a.m. 

 

Durham, N.C. - Durham residents who have storm debris in their yards
from this weekend's severe weather will receive free pick up courtesy of
the City of Durham's Department of Solid Waste Management.  This service
will be provided to both customers and non-customers of the City's yard
waste collection service.

 

The department is asking that storm debris be placed at the curb by 6
a.m. on residents' normal household collection day.   Storm debris
collection for regular Monday customers will occur on Wednesday, July 9.


 

Limbs and brush should be tied in bundles no larger than 18 inches in
diameter and no longer than four feet in length.

 

The department also wants to remind motorists to be aware of collection
crews working in neighborhoods and other high-traffic areas.

One Call at (919) 560-1200.
