Two Durham Departments Moving To New Office Location

Departments Will Begin Moving July 31; Normal Operations Will Resume
August 4

 

Durham, N.C. - Two City of Durham departments are moving to a new office
location effective Monday, August 4, 2008.

 

The City's Departments of Neighborhood Improvement Services and
Community Development will be moving to the Golden Belt Building,
located at 807 East Main Street, Durham.   The Department of
Neighborhood Improvement Services will be located on the third floor in
Suite 2300 and the Department of Community Development will be located
on the second floor in Suite 2200.

 

Both departments will begin moving on Thursday, July 31 and will not
have access to e-mail or phones until Monday, August 4 when these
departments re-open in their new location.  Residents who require
assistance should contact Durham One Call at 919-560-1200.

 

The phone and fax numbers for the City's Department of Neighborhood
Improvement Services will change.  The new phone number will be
919-560-1NIS (1647) and the new fax number will be 919-560-1790.
Employee e-mail addresses will remain the same.

 

The phone and fax numbers for the City's Department of Community
Development will remain the same at 919-560-4570 (phone) and
919-560-4090 (fax).  Employee e-mail addresses will also remain the
same.

 

Both departments are leaving their current location at 401 East Lakewood
Avenue since this space no longer accommodates their departmental space
needs.
