INC NEWS - Author Armistead Maupin at the Carolina Theatre, October 15 at 7:00 pm

Durham County Library will host Armistead Maupin, nationally celebrated
author of the Tales of the City series, for a one-night-only author
event on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Carolina Theatre, 309
W. Morgan Street, Durham, NC.  Maupin will read from his most recent
novel, Michael Tolliver Lives, and participate in an on-stage
conversation with journalist and author Steven Petrow. The reading will
be followed by a book signing.  The event is free and open to the
public, but space is limited and early arrival is encouraged.

 

Maupin, an openly gay author whose work has enjoyed broad appeal, was
raised in North Carolina and attended Raleigh's Broughton High School.
He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

television station, WRAL, which was managed at the time by conservative
