Hi Melissa,


State lawmakers could cut funds for North Carolina's premier open space protection program in half. They might allocate nothing to the program dedicated to saving family farms.


Grandfather Mountain. Chimney Rock. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail. The Alligator River. Family farms across the state. All these could be at risk.


Tell your legislator to protect land conservation programs in our state budget.



Our state's preservation programs have protected our state parks and natural heritage areas, and over 3,000 acres of family farms over the years.



And as lawmakers enter the final weeks of negotiations over the state's budget, we must act to protect the programs that will preserve these places for future generations.
