New "CityLife" Begins Tonight on DTV8

 

DURHAM, N.C. - Tune in to DTV8, the City of Durham's government channel
on Time Warner Cable channel 8, to watch a brand new episode of
"CityLife" beginning Friday, February 4, 2011, at 7:30 p.m.

 

If you don't have a job, you know how difficult it is to find one -
especially in this economy. Well, there is help out there! This month,
"CityLife" Host Beverly B. Thompson is joined by Nick McCoy, senior
workforce development manager with the City's Office of Economic and
Workforce Development, and Jeff Benes, vice president at ACW Technology,
Inc., to take a closer look at what Durham is doing to help jobseekers.

 

For the second half of "CityLife", Sgt. Terrence Sembly and Officer
Michael Higgins, both with the Durham Police Department's Recruiting
Unit, discuss how the City is now recruiting a few good men and women to
apply for the August 2011 academy - and what it takes to become one of
Durham's finest.
