One Week Left for State of Durham's Economy Breakfast Early Bird
Registration

Advance Sale Tickets No Longer Available After February 24

DURHAM, N.C. - Time is running out to save on advance sale tickets to
the 2011 State of Durham's Economy Breakfast, an event that focuses on
Durham's economic and workforce development progress.

The event will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, from 7 a.m. to 9:30
a.m. at the Durham Performing Arts Center, located at 123 Vivian Street
in downtown Durham. Early bird registration is now open with advance
sale tickets costing $55 each or $400 for a table of eight. After
Thursday, February 24, tickets will be $65 each or $450 for a table of
eight. Registration ends Tuesday, March 15.

This annual event shares news about the progress made in 2010 to
strengthen Durham's economic performance amidst the economic downturn.
Issues such as employment, tax-base growth, high-growth industry
activity, retail sales, commercial real estate markets, and wages will
be discussed.

This year's event will also feature a panel discussion with
representatives from companies and organizations who will share their
perspectives on Durham's global marketplace and how businesses,
students, and residents can prepare themselves to be globally
competitive in 2011 and beyond.

The event is sponsored by the City of Durham's Office of Economic and
Workforce Development, in collaboration with the Greater Durham Chamber
of Commerce, Downtown Durham, Inc., Durham County Government, and the
Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau.
