Thanks John for heading this up.
Please don't take my initial opposition for forming yet another committee at
INC as a detraction.
I was just trying to offer the suggestion that those members of INC that are
interested in abandoned and boarded up houses to connect up with the
Campaign for Decent Housing and/or Durham Affordable Housing and attend
their meetings since it is my feeling that they are the experts in housing
issues in Durham and have worked for over ten years with other non-profits,
governmental agencies and neighborhood advocates.
They have also researched, studied and participated with both Housing and
Community Development and Neighborhood Improvement Services in finding
solutions to boarded up houses.
But I hope you noticed that I voted to support this after listening to the
discussion after the initial motion and second.
So while I can't promise that I will be able to make every meeting of this
subcommittee (still having problems keeping up with the Transportation one)
I would like to be able to come to as many as I can. Please place me on
the 'reserve' list.
Mike

> Dear INC members,
