New "CityLife" Begins Today on DTV8

 

DURHAM, N.C. - Tune in to DTV8, the City of Durham's government channel
on Time Warner Cable channel 8, to watch a brand new episode of
"CityLife" beginning Monday, April 4, 2011, at 1 p.m.

 

If you own property in Downtown Durham - would you be willing to pay an
additional tax for a better-looking downtown? This month, "CityLife"
Host Beverly B. Thompson is joined by Downtown Durham, Inc. President
Bill Kalkhof to talk about the proposed Business Improvement District
(BID) to explore what this would mean for downtown if this proposal is
approved by City Council this spring.

 

For the second half of "CityLife," Partners Against Crime District 5
Co-Facilitator Scott Harmon and Downtown Resident Alice Sharpe, both of
whom will be personally affected if the BID proposal is passed, join the
discussion and explain why they support the proposed BID...and why
others in downtown should as well.
