"The public is invited to Dead Man Walking: An Evening with Sr Helen Prejean.  Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ, will share about her experience and work regarding the death penalty and death row inmates, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 215 N. Church St., Downtown Durham, Friday, Dec 2nd, 7:00-8:30pm.

Since 1984, Sister Helen has divided her time between educating citizens about the death penalty and counseling individual death row prisoners. She has accompanied six men to their deaths, and has written two books from her experiences: Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty in the United States (1993) and The Death of Innocents: An Eyewitness Account of Wrongful Executions (2005). "
