Clark to Head City Fleet Management Department

DURHAM, N.C. - Joe Clark was named director of the City of Durham's
Fleet Management Department today by City Manager Tom Bonfield. Clark,
who currently is the manager of the Financial Operations Division, has
been with the City for nearly 28 years, and has steadily risen through
the ranks in the City's Finance Department.

"Joe has proven himself to be a leader within our organization,"
Bonfield said. "His broad range of skills, especially in the procurement
area, has greatly contributed to the City's ability to negotiate and
manage contracts for goods and services in a cost efficient manner. I am
happy to promote someone of Joe's caliber."

A graduate of East Carolina University College of Business, Clark also
has a diploma in Automobile/Diesel Technology from Wayne Community
College. Honored in 2007 as the Carolina Association Governmental
Purchasing Purchaser of the Year, he is also designated as a Certified
Local Governmental Purchasing Officer and is the past president of the
Carolina's Association of Governmental Purchasing.

Clark begins his new role on June 4, 2012. He replaces Kent Cash, who
retired as the department's director in April 2012.
