Local Law Enforcement Agencies Give Students an IDEA About Dangers of Impaired Driving
The City, County and many of their partners are teaming up to educate Durham's young people about the dangers of impaired driving. The Impaired Driving Education and Awareness (IDEA) program allows driver education students the chance to experience firsthand, in a safe and controlled setting, the effects of being impaired by alcohol. Safety Concerns Prompt the Removal of Lights at Lyon Park Ball Field
Safety concerns are prompting the removal of the lights at the Lyon Park Ball Field. The park is located on West Lakewood Avenue, and one pole has already fallen in a recent storm. In order to prevent this from happening with other poles, they are all being taken down because the lights themselves are not working.

Organizations Within Durham's Continuum of Care Receive Federal Grants
Two organizations within Durham's Continuum of Care have received grants from the federal government to help provide housing for the homeless people. Find out which organizations received the grants and how these funds will help homeless families.
