DCHC MPO Seeks Public Comment on Transportation Priorities
April 1 Deadline to Complete Online Survey; Workshop & Public Hearing Set for March

DURHAM, N.C. - The Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO)<http://www.dchcmpo.org> is seeking public feedback on the draft goals and objectives for its 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, which will drive future policies and decision-making processes for highway, bicycle, pedestrian, and transit projects.

Residents and stakeholders can now review and provide input on the draft goals, objectives, and performance measures using a variety of methods:

*         Complete a short online survey<http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DCHCMPO-Goals>.

*         Visit the DCHC MPO Website<http://www.dchcmpo.org/programs/transport/2045mtp.asp#tabs4> and provide comments directly by email<mailto:andrew.henry at durhamnc.gov>.

*         Attend a public hearing with local elected officials on Wednesday, March 9 at 9 a.m. in the Durham City Hall Committee Room, located at 101 City Hall Plaza.

*         Attend a drop-in public workshop on Thursday, March 17 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Durham Station Transportation Center, located at 515 W. Pettigrew Street.


Any person with a disability may receive an auxiliary aid or service to effectively participate in the public workshop and public hearing by contacting the City's ADA Coordinator at (919) 560-4197 or by email<mailto:ADA at DurhamNC.gov> as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the meeting.
