[Durham INC] Southern High School's Sustainability Program Needs Your Support!

Southern High is the base of Durham’s Soil and Water Conservation District’s BETC (Bionomic Education Training Center) program, by which sustainable landscaping and horticulture practices are taught (in a manner that incorporates required curricula into hands-on, experiential learning) to Occupational Course of Study and other students. The solar initiative/program is an important component of the sustainability-related science being taught at Southern and now being extended to Lowe’s Grove Middle and Jordan High Schools.
