This may be especially interesting if you, your neighbors, your non-profit or other community group are/is hoping to do more with data in the future. Come check it out and register by the 21st!

Duke University's Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) is hosting a Community Data Skills Building Event on May 5, 2017 from 8 AM to 5 PM. Come and join us! The event is FREE with breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack provided. Parking will be available also.



You will be able to register for both morning and afternoon workshops AND consult with research consultants about your community research projects.



Workshop choices include:

*         Best Practices for Designing & Administering Surveys

*         How to Conduct In-Depth Interviews & Focus Groups for Community Empowerment

*         Evaluation: Using Data as Evidence to Prove & Improve

*         How to Manage Your Data to Keep it Safe & Accessible

*         How to Make Your Point through Data Visualization

*         Using Mapping to Understand Your Community

*         How to Think About & Use Data Critically
