Subject: Public Hearing Notice for UDO Text Amendments TC1600006, TC1700003, and TC1700004- May 22, 2017 Durham Board of County Commissioners

Please be advised of the upcoming Durham Board of County Commissioners public hearings on proposed changes to the text of the Durham Unified Development Ordinance (UDO):

TC1600006- Mass Grading Buffers: Per direction of by the JCCPC, revise mass current mass grading buffer requirements (Sec. 9.5 Mass Grading Buffers and Revegetation) to the extent allowed by state law.

TC1700003- Airport Overlay: A privately-initiated text amendment to Sec. 4.8, Airport Overlay (-A60,-A65) to allow for the consideration of Utilities, as described within Article 5, Use Regulations, within the –A65 Airport Overlay. Additional technical clarifications are also proposed to Sec. 4.8.

TC1700004- Temporary Outdoor Sales: A text amendment to Sec. 5.5, Temporary Uses, to revise and clarify text regarding the allowance of certain temporary sales to maintain a sales area of more than 400 square feet, and to make additional technical clarifications.

The Durham Board of County Commissioners will hold the public hearings on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 200 East Main Street.

Agenda documents will be available at http://dconc.gov/government/departments-a-e/board-of-commissioners. Interested parties may appear and speak at the public hearing. Substantial changes to the proposed actions may be made following the public hearing.
