[Durham INC] Rebuilding Together of the Triangle -- Opportunities for Neighborhoods

I recently became aware of Rebuilding Together, which enables volunteers to do modifications and make critical repairs for safer, healthier, more accessible, and more energy efficient homes for low-income families. They provide training,materials and tools, as well as preparing the worksite in advance of each project and handling the paperwork and insurance for the volunteers.

I was thinking that if neighborhood groups or other organizations were looking for an activity to do together (or can make some other contribution), this is one way to be very helpful.
