Durham Begins Construction Project for Markham Avenue, Mangum Street and Roxboro Street Medians
Informational Meeting to Share Project Details Set for August 28

What:              Pre-Construction Informational Meeting for Markham Avenue, Mangum Street and Roxboro Street Medians Project

Who:               City of Durham Public Works Department

When:             Monday, August 28, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where:            Near 1405 North Mangum Street (directly beside the street)
Durham, N.C. 27701



Fast Facts:
*        The City of Durham Public Works Department will soon begin a construction project that involves the installation of medians, sidewalk and new curb ramps at the intersection of Markham Avenue, Mangum Street and Roxboro Street. The goal of this project is to improve the intersection to provide safer traffic flow. Road/lane closures and detours are required during the construction of the project, which is scheduled to begin on September 20.

*        The department is hosting a pre-construction informational meeting on Monday, August 28 to share information about the project with nearby property owners and residents. Public Works staff will be sharing the project timeline and details of the upcoming construction phase of the project as well as answering any questions related to the project.


*        Any person with a disability may receive an auxiliary aid or service to effectively participate in this session by contacting the City's ADA Coordinator at (919) 560-4197 or by email no later than 48 hours before the meeting.
