Keep Durham Beautiful Seeks Non-Profit Applicants for October 21 ReUse Rodeo
Interested nonprofits should apply to participate by September 15

Keep Durham Beautiful is now accepting applications from local nonprofit organizations to participate in Durham's Second ReUse Rodeo to be held on October 21 at the Durham County Stadium at 750 Stadium Drive. A Reuse Rodeo is a "one stop drop" event that allows residents to donate gently used items to multiple nonprofits at the same time in the same place.

"Our first ReUse Rodeo saw 203 residents bring in over in almost 12,000 pounds of reusable items.  We are excited to bring this opportunity to Durhamites again." said Tania Dautlick, Executive Director of Keep Durham Beautiful. "It's a fun and convenient way for the community to donate, recycle, and conscientiously dispose of unwanted materials as good stewards of the environment."

The City of Durham will offer free electronic waste recycling and paper shredding at the same event. The ReUse Rodeo is hosted in partnership by Keep Durham Beautiful<http://keepdurhambeautiful.org/>, the City of Durham Solid Waste Management Department<http://www.durhamnc.gov/solidwaste>, and Durham County Division of Solid Waste Management. <http://www.dconc.gov/recycling>

Interested nonprofits can submit an application using this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ReUseRodeo by September 15, 2017. Organizations will be notified by September 21, 2017 if they have been selected to participate.
