[Durham INC] notices from the planning department

INC receives a copy of all the notices about proposed re-zoings, Board of Adjustments hearings, etc. I sort of skipped summer in sending these out, but here are the neighborhood meetings and a most recent notices.  Generally looks like they think we need even more stores!



For October 16 City Council (rescheduled from Sept)

  *   REA Commercial -- Midsized commercial instead of offices near Harris Teeter at 751 and 54 -- 2 different pieces


For Sept 12 Planning Commission (which will come to governing bodies)

  *   Angier Ave. Residential -- Revision of a planned community and annexation into Durham on Angier near Stage
  *   DLLTRR (real revealing name there) -- Taking out the residential part so it is all mid-sized commercial on North Roxboro at Bush Drive, with a big toe in some wet places
  *   Ellis Road Townhouses II -- to planned development from suburban residential, Ellis near Cash
  *


Neighborhood Meetings

  *   Oct 17 -- An "exciting" residential community at 3846 Angier Rd.
  *   Sept. 26 -- proposed residential development near the intersection of Mineral Springs, Pleasant Drive and Holder Rd.
  *   Sept 21 -- 38 townhome units, completing a road from Old Chapel Hill Road to Garrett, in southwest quadrant of the intersection of those roads.
  *   Aug 9 -- what is now a bit of woods on east side of N. Roxboro just south of Carver would be mid-sized commercial instead of office / institutional
  *   August 8 -- Autopark goes of Garrett just north of I-40 with all the auto dealerships on it.  They are proposing to put mid-sized commercial there instead of offices and residences
  *   Aug 2 -- 180+ townhouse community on 33 acres at 3404 Page Road, annexed to city to get utilities
  *   July 18 -- About 3 acres from residential to mid-sized commercial at SW corner of Fayetteville and Martin Luther King
  *   July 10 -- light industrial instead of rural residential for about 2 acres at Airport and Page
  *   June 27 -- about 6 acres of what is now industrial and light industrial to mid-sized commercial and light industrial at the intersection of Hillsborough and Cole Mill Rd
  *   Durham is not going the idea of a low-intensity industrial park on Junction Rd.
