Durham Hosts National Community Planning Month Open House

DURHAM, N.C. - Ready to show community planning some love? Attend our Open House later this month to help us celebrate the role planning plays in creating the places we love most.

This month the Durham City-County Planning Department<http://durhamnc.gov/338/City-County-Planning> is recognizing the lasting value that thoughtful and innovative planning has for the Bull City. In order for residents to get to know the planners in Durham and learn about the local planning initiatives underway, the department is hosting an Open House on Monday, October 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the ground floor of City Hall, located at 101 City Hall Plaza. Staff will give tours, answer questions and provide examples of their work. Light refreshments will also be provided.

This event is part of National Community Planning Month<http://www.planning.org/ncpm> and this year's theme is innovation in planning to underscore the role of planning in addressing and adapting to the challenges facing communities in the 21st Century.
