<p class="MsoNoSpacing">DURHAM, N.C. – As the City of Durham begins its <a href="https://durhamnc.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2877">
assessment of the condition of all City-owned streets</a>, residents may soon see mobile data collection vehicles cruising their neighborhoods.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing">The City’s Public Works Department has hired <a href="https://roadwayassetservices.com/">
Roadway Asset Services</a> (RAS) to create a digital data inventory of the condition of City-owned streets as well as above ground, transportation-related assets located within the right-of-way.

<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal">
In order to collect this data, the <a href="https://roadwayassetservices.com/services/">
RAS vehicles</a> will be traveling all City-owned streets within the city limits during daylight hours only to ensure the highest quality of data and imagery. The project is expected to begin on July 6 and should be finished by the end of October 2021.
