[Esip-preserve] Draft Budget Request for Travel to Present on ESIP Preservation & Stewardship Activities

I like the way this has turned out. I agree with Ruth’s comment regarding deleting ESIP winter and summer meetings. I had mentioned that I would provide information about the NIST workshop on data preservation that was held a couple of years ago as an example of other meetings of interest. Here is the link. http://www.nist.gov/itl/iad/workshop_031610.cfm. The point is that if there are future activities like this, the ESIP Preservation Committee should be represented (it may or may not involve travel funds, depending on who goes and where such meetings are held). I was an invited speaker at that workshop and wrote an ACM paper with John Moses after that. See http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=2039274
