provides an interesting news article about a specialized archive site.
While interesting and focused on Web pages, it doesn't really touch the
pleasantries of dealing with Earth science (and perhaps bioinformatics)
data that's probably got more data volume and may be largely
numerical. The latter is probably not as well suited to data searches
using our usual text-based information retrieval approaches as we
might expect.
