Data Stewards,
Perhaps you saw this on the ESIP all list. The timeline is very short, but it seems something the Stewardship Committee should comment on at least as individuals.
My initial comment is that they may want to consider levels of service as much as types of repository.
cheers,
-m.

Dear Colleagues,
I firstly apologize for sharing this with you late in the day, and also that you may receive it through multiple channels. Please note that we will be willing to accept additional feedback beyond the original deadline stated below.
The CoreTrustSeal Board has received input and requests from a number of more generalist repositories and from those providing technical infrastructure and services to repositories. Working with interested stakeholders, the CoreTrustSeal Board has summarized the issues in a paper that is available for download here:
* CoreTrustSeal: Specialists, Generalists, and Technical Repository Service Providers<https://www.coretrustseal.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/CoreTrustSeal-Specialists-Generalists-TechServiceProviders_v01_00.docx> (Word)
This paper is the first step in a series of community engagements and calls for comment that will feed into the formal review of CoreTrustSeal in 2022. We are also consulting on some proposed immediate actions to respond to demand from the CoreTrustSeal community. We are seeking feedback from current and (potential) future CoreTrustSeal holders, as well as wider interested parties.
We would be grateful if you could provide feedback by Friday, 17 July 2020. Feedback may be added directly to a downloaded copy of the paper using the Word comment and track changes functions, or it can be included separately in another file or email. In all cases, please send your feedback to community [‘at’] coretrustseal [‘dot’] org by the 17 July deadline.
Best wishes,
Rorie
