[esip-semanticweb] Semantic Mashups Needed for NASA SemTech WG going forward

Hello semantic web folks,

We are contemplating a Semantic Technologies Working Group going forward
for FY2013 as part of NASA's Earth Science Data Systems Working Groups (ESDSWG).

Attached find a DRAFT of a quad chart explaining the purpose of the group.

The main goal of the activity would be to publish as much NASA metadata for
datasets & services as Linked Open Data (LOD) and then demonstrate some
"killer app" semantic mashups.

Please contribute any ideas you have for semantic mashups or comments on the
DRAFT plan by emailing to the list or to me (Brian.Wilson at jpl.nasa.gov).

We need your ideas, your participation, and the leverage of your funded projects.

Advocacy for this WG to NASA ESDIS will be taking place next week at the
2012 ESDSWG meeting in Annapolis, MD.
