The ESIP SemTech community is now in full responsibility and ownership of the SWEET Ontology suite https://github.com/esipfed/sweet 
SWEET itself contains elements associated with Paleoclimatology and some of our community is interested in working with the LinkedEarth project to ensure that SWEET is used within the metadata/standards development effort.
I took a look at the questionnaire and it is too comprehensive and too far outside the scope of own realm of expertise however certain members of our community do have expertise in this field.
Are you interested in working with us on the above effort? If so then maybe we could set up some short telecon in the near future.
