Have you through about hosting the ontologies at the COR? http://cor.esipfed.org
The tooling is getting better all the time so there are quite a few benefits for data providers looking to host semantic Web resources.
Also, is there any plan to achieve full IRI resolution for the resources you are maintaining? I would like to use some of the resources in a prototype SWOT application I’ll be starting soon therefore IRI resolution would be ideal.

Our project is still alive and well, but the USGS is migrating to a new web site system (Drupal), so the content at cegis.usgs.gov<http://cegis.usgs.gov> is on the verge of getting deleted.
Our new project web site will be: https://www.usgs.gov/core-science-systems/ngp/cegis/geospatial-semantics-and-ontology
but that one is not quite yet published.
I apologize for the state of our public face, but we'll try to get it fully up-to-date asap.
