As always, theres something interesting going on in Durham!

MOMart is on Friday and Saturday (see forwarded message below).

On Saturday the Crisis Center is having it's annual Silent Auction and Benefit at 206. North Dillard starting at 7:30.

Also if you've gotten to know Virginia Bridges of the Herald Sun, her 'farewell' party is Saturday night at Jo & Joe's.

All very well worth your weekend enjoyment to participate in.

I'm sure there are other great things happening.   Wouldn't  you like to post them,too?

Come see local artists and buy Mother's Day gifts at the Third Annual
MOMArt sale!
This Friday, April 29 from 7-10 pm
(preview party-- beverages, wine, food, desserts, $10 at the door)
and Saturday, April 30, all-day sale.
The show features art, crafts, and flower/herb gardens and benefits the
Exchange Clubs' Family Center of Broad St. in Durham, an agency that
works to support disadvantaged families and prevent child abuse. The
sale is at former WHH and OWD resident Tammi Brooks' house at 1527
Pinecrest Ave. in Durham.  (directions below). 
The sale includes the works of 60 local artists, crafts- and
plantpeople, including several Old West Durham and Watts
Hospital-Hillandale residents:

DIRECTIONS to 1527 Pinecrest Rd. (Tammi Brooks and Don Mullen's house,
489-5888)

  From OWD/WHH: Take Broad St. toward Main St. and stay on it as it
becomes Swift Ave.  It deadends on Duke University Rd and turn right. 
Take Duke University Rd. to 751, where it deadends. Turn left on 751.
Take first right on Pinecrest Rd. When Pinecrest curves up a hill
and to the left, the house is on the inside left corner.
