Pat,

What do you think about INC sponsoring a Comprehensive Plan/UDO workshop 
sometime this winter (after passage) to help educate neighborhoods about 
these.

I'd broached this with Frank a couple of weeks ago and he expressed support 
in having staff available to help put it on.

I'd be willing to work on a venue and program with the UDO taskforce if you 
think it'd be a worthwhile endeavor.

It could be on a Saturday starting around 8:30 with 30-45 minute workshops 
hopefully ending at lunch time.

We can have a few different 'sessions'.

    Definitions and terms to understand
    Basic concept and outline of planning documents
    Neighborhood notification
    Protest petitions
    Working with staff
    Policies and procedures for developments
    Approval process

If we're willing to be inclusive,  we might even open up the sessions to 
developers and real estate interests so we can start working on a better 
understanding between us (i.e. Developer score card).

With as work as everyone's put into them, I think it'd be a great idea if we

could help folks (neighborhoods, Planning Department, elected officials, 
etc) with something positive like this.

what do the rest of you think?
