Clean Energy Durham to Sponsor Energy Audit Demonstration

The EPA estimates that 30% of your heating or cooling bill goes to pay for energy leaking into your basement or attic.  With energy prices expected to rise this winter and in recognition of October as NC Energy Awareness Month, Clean Energy Durham, a volunteer non profit, is sponsoring a demonstration energy audit Tuesday, October 18th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at a private residence in Southwest Central Durham.  The demonstration is free, but space is limited and pre-registration required.  Call 403-2510 to register.

Southern Energy Management will take residents through a review of the heating and ductwork systems to point out leaks and places to improve. Participants will learn about common and surprising ways energy can be wasted in a home and steps they can take to address them.
