"Somebody's Mother, Somebody's Sister"

Community Event and Benefit at Joe & Jo's Downtown
Restaurant and Pub

Thursday, April 27th, 7:30 p.m.

Every survivor of sexual assault can be defined by
different activities and bonds in their life having
nothing to do with their moments of pain. Many female
survivors are mothers, sisters, friends, and lovers.
We choose to honor one mother and sister with our
assistance and support through a community event.

Please come out this Thursday, April 27th, beginning
at 7:30 pm, to Joe & Jo's Pub in Downtown Durham for
Somebody's Mother, Somebody's Sister, a benefit for a
recent survivor of sexual assault in Durham, NC. All
proceeds from this event will go to the foundation set
up on the survivor's behalf by VOX: Voices for Planned
Parenthood of NCCU. Poets will include Dasan Ahanu,
Jonathan Fisher, Tanya Olson, Rhonda Reese, Chris
Salerno, Chris Vitiello, and Randall Williams. AND
the evening will include musical entertainment from
Langston Fuze and the Degenerate Nation.

All this is yours for a suggested donation of $5.

We look forward to seeing you there! - Laura Jent
(volunteer and organizer)

sometimes it's necessary to just get plain stupid.
Welcome to Degenerate Nation. We represent all that

i.e. all that is fun.
If you like to dance; if you like to chill; if you
