Hollow Rock Hike, including Kid's Hike

Join us for a tour of the New Hope Creek area properties recently conserved through the actions of TLC (Triangle Land Conservancy), Orange County, Durham County, Durham (city), Chapel Hill and the Erwin Area Neighborhood Group. 

The tour will visit the Penny family land, sold for a bargain price this June, and the Duke University tract that was slated for development but will now be part of an open space park. Rich Shaw of Orange County's Lands Legacy Program, local historian David Southern, and naturalist Steve Hall will lead the adults. Teacher Linda Tugurian from nearby Forest View Elementary will lead a fun walk for kids age 5 to 12. 

Limit: 45 adults and 15 children.  Registration deadline is 5 pm on Friday October 6.  Registration is online at www.tlc-nc.org/calendar.shtml
