Invitation from the Triangle Transit Authority...

I wanted to make you aware of some additional
activities that are taking place at TTA with hopes
that you might be able to participate.

Triangle Transit Authority Invites Public To Community
Sessions On Future Service

Beginning the week of November 13th, the Triangle
Transit Authority (TTA) will continue its intensive
public outreach for its strategic investment program
for Bus, Vanpool and Paratransit Services.

Community meetings will be held in Durham, Raleigh,
Cary and Chapel Hill focusing on:

* how to improve existing services
* providing quality service, and not just quantity
of routes
* new vehicle design choices for upcoming purchases

These meetings will be a complement to the extensive
work that has already gone into defining future
transit corridors and help "define the TTA
experience."

TTA staff held public workshops around the region last
week, allowing riders and non-riders to see some of
the newer, most technologically advanced buses
available on the market.

TTA General Manager David King said, "This is a great
opportunity for us to listen to what folks think we
ought to be doing to develop services, facilities and
amenities that will improve our regional public
transportation services."
