The Little Green Pig theatrical Concern concludes its first season of life
with the world premiere of Michael A. Smith's black comedy IN THE DOGHOUSE:
THE EXECUTION OF DOSTOEVSKY. Alternately surreal, slapstick and touching,
this play imagines the early writing career of Russian writer Fyodor
Dostoevsky (Adam Sampieri) as he attempts to evade his lascivious landlady
(Nicole Quenelle), a vacuous socialite (Marsh Edmundson), and the Czar's
rabid police force (Thaddaeus Edwards, Eddy Shipman and Geraud Staton).
With the dubious help of his best friend (Jay
O'Berski), a radical militant (Michael O'Foghludha) and an addled senior
police officer (LaMark Wright), will Dostoevsky win the heart of a
"liberated"
aristocrat (Dana Marks), free the serfs (Dorrie Casey) and save his brother
(Gregor McElvogue) from prison?
