Please advise interested members of your organization of the proposed
changes to the text of the Durham Unified Development Ordinance (UDO):
                ·              Text Change 06-06 proposes technical
changes to the following issues:
Public Notice Requirements; Administrative Withdrawals; Plan Amendment
Processes; Development Plans in the Compact Neighborhood Tier; Allowable
Uses in the GC District; Wireless Communication Facility Standards; Home
Occupation Standards; Swimming Pool Fencing Standards; RS-M Standards for
Lot Size and Open Space; Urban Tier Townhome Standards; Urban, Compact
Neighborhood and Downtown Build-to Requirements; Density Calculations;
Useable Open Space Standards; Conservation Subdivision Open Space
Standards; Protected Specimen Tree Standards; Replacement Tree Standards;
Street Yard Buffers; Project  Boundary Buffers for Nonresidential Uses
within Residential Districts; Stormwater Sureties in the City; Downtown
Screening; Fencing around Electrical Substations; Pylon Signs; Private
Streets in Conservation Subdivisions; Bonding of Community Wastewater
Systems; Open Space Lot Standards; and the Definition of Setbacks.
                The City Council public hearing is tentatively scheduled
for February 19, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 101
City Hall Plaza.  Please contact the Planning Department for confirmation
of the hearing dates.  The proposal may be viewed at the web site listed
