April 28

Ivy Community Center, 4418 Fayetteville Road, in Durham, NC, from
7:00pm12:00am

Triangle residents can dance to African music and enjoy African foods while
supporting an important cause-- helping to save African children and
pregnant mothers from malaria.

This party with a purpose is hosted by the Bonjour African Malaria Project
and will include live entertainment, dinner and exceptional dance music. The
last African Dinner-Dance Party held in April 2006 raised nearly $10,826 --
enough provide 3,500 mosquito-prevention bed nets to pregnant mothers and
children under five.

Although malaria is curable if promptly diagnosed and treated, the World
Health Organization estimates that there are 1.7 million deaths from the
mosquito-borne disease every year. And 90 percent of these deaths occur in
Africa south of the Sahara, where a child dies of malaria every 30 seconds .

The African Dinner-Dance Party will kick off with a live performance from
Djembe Fire, a troupe of master African drummers and dancers. Plus, other
live acts will be featured.

A complimentary buffet of African foods will feature meat, fish, and
vegetarian dishes. Then the evening will get rocking with African music and
dancing from deejay Bouna Ndiaye, host of the popular Bonjour Africa music
show heard every Sunday from 4-6:00 p.m. on WNCU 90.7FM. Mr. Ndiaye will
play a wide assortment of African pop music, including salsa, samba,
Afro-beat, and other styles from across the African continent. A cash bar
with beer and wine will also be available.

Tickets for the event are $25 and are available in advance and at the door.
All donations are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to Bonjour
Africa Projects, Inc. All proceeds, after expenses, will go to the
procurement of the malaria interventions.

The Bonjour Africa Malaria Project is the fundraising project of Bouna
Ndiaye and bonjourafrica.com. For more info go to web page than press
