The program Home Energy Use is at the Parkwood Branch
Library on Monday June 18 at 7 p.m.  There are two
more programs in the Ecological Lifestyles series
before then, so the schedule is:

May 21	'Greener' Landscaping Learn how to make your
yard more environmentally friendly. City of Durham
Water Conservation and Stormwater specialists will
present ideas on sing rain gardens, rain barrels, lawn
conversion, and efficient watering methods.  Handouts
will be provided.

June 4	Sustainable Food
Learn how you can help the environment and society by
eating tastier and more nutritious food.  Carolina
Farm Stewardship Association works to support and
expand local and organic agriculture in the Carolinas
by 
inspiring, educating, and organizing farmers and
consumers.

June 18	Home Energy Use: Bringing Neighbors Together
Clean Energy Durham has a plan for making Durham a
model community when it comes to saving energy.  Clean
Energy Durham volunteer Judy Kincaid 
will present a 40-minute informative and engaging
slide show.  Learn what households and the
neighborhood can do to save money and have a local and
global impact.
