Durham County birth and death records to be obtained at Register of Deeds
Office

Durham County Register of Deeds Willie Covington has announced that
beginning July 2 all certified copies of birth and death records must be
requested and obtained at the Durham County Register of Deeds Office,
located on the ground floor of the County Administration Building, at 200
East Main Street.

Records will no longer be disbursed at the Public Health Department.

The office hours of the Register of Deeds Office are 8:30 to 5:00 pm,
Monday through Friday.
