2007 sUMMER music festival

 

DURHAM, NC: The City of Durham Parks and Recreation Department will
transform Durham's historic parks into a weekend get-away full of music,
fellowship and fun. This summer, citizens will enjoy a summer-long
succession of concerts at West Point on the Eno, Rock Quarry, Lyon Park,
Pineywood, Twin Lakes and Forest Hills Parks. The concerts will feature
the sounds of Country, R&B, Gospel, Jazz, Old Skool and Reggae music.
All concerts are free and will be held on Saturdays from 6 p.m. - 8:30
p.m. No alcohol is allowed.

June 30       Country       West Point on the Eno (5101 N. Roxboro Road)

July 7           R&B             Rock Quarry Park (701 Stadium Drive)


July 14         Gospel        Lyon Park (1309 Halley Street)

July 21         Jazz             Pineywood Park (400 East Woodcroft
Parkway)

July 28         Old Skool    Twin Lakes Park (400 Chandler Drive)

August 4     Reggae       Forest Hills (1639 University Drive)
