Buzz: Tree lightings coming up
By Monica Chen, Herald-Sun, 11 Nov 2007
Next weekend will be a busy one for parents who want
to take their kids to tree lighting events around
town.
Here's a schedule of tree lightings and Santa's
whereabouts at Northgate:
Friday: Northgate is lighting its 50-foot tree around
7:20 p.m. on the roof of the mall next to Stadium 10
Theatres. WRAL's Pam Saulsby and Santa will lead the
crowd in a countdown.
Saturday: Santa will meet kids in front of Macy's
inside Northgate at 10:45 a.m. to lead a Santa
Parade...
Nov. 18: On their way to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day
Parade, the Express Personnel Clydesdales from
Oklahoma will appear at Northgate in the Sears parking
lot 2-5 p.m.
Kids are welcome to ride in the wagon, visit Santa
decked out in Western gear and learn about the care
and grooming of the award-winning horses.
