Wall Street."

* Interested stakeholders, artists, design professionals and
Durham residents are invited to stop by the Parrish Street Project
Office to share ideas about how public art can enhance the experience of
Parrish Street.

* At the end of this two-day charrette, the consultants hired by
the Parrish Street Advocacy Group will prepare recommendations and
solicit public feedback from both residents and the Durham City Council
in February 2008.

About the Parrish Street Project

The Parrish Street Project, under the direction of the Durham City
Council, is working to commemorate the nationally significant history of
Parrish Street, also known as "Black Wall Street," and to spur economic
revitalization for this downtown Durham corridor. The City and its
partners are engaged in a mission to attract new investment and pursue
national heritage area status from the United States Congress.
