Subject: NEH Match Deadline Update

 

Dear Library Family ~ 

 

With about 2 weeks left to meet the National Endowment for the Humanities
challenge grant deadline, we are coming up short. Even with gifts expected
by the deadline, there is a gap of about $10,000. Unless new donors step
forward, we will have to report to NEH that we raised $1,490,000, instead of
$1.5 million. We've worked too hard to settle for that!

 

You can help by letting your contacts know of this need and by asking them
to make a donation today to help meet the NEH match. These donations are put
into an endowment that will provide funds year after year for Library
programs for adults, teens and children.

 

Details about this challenge are on the Foundation's website at:
http://www.durhamlibraryfoundation.org/challenge.html. Donors may give
online with a credit card by using the link at the top right of the webpage;
Network for Good is our secure online donation service. Also, donors may
visit any branch with their check. Ask them to note "NEH Match" on the check
and to alert a library employee it is to "meet the match" so it will be
forwarded promptly. Finally, this ---
