DURHAM PARKS AND RECREATON 

tO KICK-OFF LATIN SERIES saturday

 

Durham, NC: On Saturday, May 3, Durham Parks and Recreation will host the first in a series of four Latin Concerts. The concert will be held from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the CCB Plaza (201 Corcoran Street). The purpose of the series is to highlight the culture of Durham's fastest growing population. 

 

SaJaso, a Salsa, Jazz, and Soul band that was born to satisfy the demands of an ever-growing cosmopolitan population in the Triangle will perform. The band provides North Carolinians with high quality Latin music comparable to the music you find in New York, Florida, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. Led by Ramón "Chino" Casiano, the band's members are a group of well-seasoned, experienced and educated musicians, who have collaborated in a number of well known local, national, and international bands. 

 

Residents are encouraged to bring their lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy the music. The concerts are FREE and open to the public.  Please find the dates for the additional concerts listed below:
