(Ruby Tuesday side of the mall, lower level)-Look for signs and the smell of coffee!
Welcome and Introductions: Matt Yarbrough

TOPIC: ICE-Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Presentation will provide timely and helpful information regarding North Carolinas recent training on immigration law, intercultural relations and how Department of Homeland Security databases help positively identify criminals and individuals with outstanding warrants. These efforts provide local law enforcement agencies the additional opportunity to team with ICE agents to combat increasing challenges within our communities and businesses. For more information go to www.ice.gov/pi/news/newsreleases/articles/080613raleigh.htm
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: We are also hoping there will be time for Police Officers from our different PAC's to give us an update on recent criminal activities in their Districts. Locations of one or more District Headquarters have (District One) or will be changing (District Two) due to various reasons. Please come and find out more.
ANNOUNCEMENT: The InterNeighborhood Council along with several community support organizations, non-profits and individuals recently announced "Durham, Can You Spare a Change" regarding roadside solicitations for money and panhandling. Brochures describing this new effort will be available at this meeting along with the new Partners Against Crime flyers.
This is the first meeting after our summer break. If you have an experience you'd like to share with us since we last met, please consider this an opportunity to do so. We would like to have our program finished by 9AM. Free coffee is provided by DBAC along with pastries and muffins from one of our sponsors.
All DBAC meetings are open to the public. Visitors are enthusiastically welcomed and encouraged whether you are a business owner, an employee or a concerned citizen that wants to learn more. A DBAC membership is available by submitting a $10 tax-deductible contribution to DBAC (an official 501c-3 nonprofit organization). Please consider joining the DBAC listserve at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DBACpac/
