Durham's Annual Sanitary Sewer Report Now Available

Report Indicates No State or Federal Violations Last Fiscal Year

 

Durham, N.C. - The City of Durham's Department of Water Management has
released its Annual Sanitary Sewer System report for fiscal year
2007-2008.  The report indicates that the department had no violations
of any applicable state and federal regulations at either of the City's
two wastewater reclamation facilities.

 

The annual report describes the operations of the sanitary sewer
collection system and the water reclamation facilities.  It also
provides a summary of the performance of Durham's sewer system including
a list of spills and overflows that occurred during fiscal year
2007-2008.  Information on the City's Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG)
Program is also provided in the report.

 

The report is now available online at

are also available from the City's Department of Water Management
Administration Office at 1600 Mist Lake Drive and at the Operations
Center at 1110 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway or by calling (919)

operation and maintenance of Durham's water supply, water treatment and
water reclamation (wastewater treatment) facilities, the collection and
distribution systems (including meter reading) and customer billing
