with existing youth programs.

* Youth and their parents will have an opportunity to
participate in workshops centered around four subject areas:

	*	Youth workshops will focus on sexuality, conflict
resolution, substance abuse awareness, and career development.
	*	Parent workshops will focus on substance abuse
awareness, mentoring, gang prevention/intervention, and youth/parent
relationships.

* Program areas and topics were developed based upon ideas from
the 2007 Durham Youth Summit and results from the 2007 Durham County
Youth Risk Behavior Survey conducted by Durham Public Schools and the
Durham County Health Department.
