Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Regional Priority List for
public review and comment.
* The TIP is a list of all transportation projects that will
receive federal and state funding over this seven-year period. The TIP
includes highway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and rail projects in
Durham County and parts of Orange and Chatham Counties. The Regional
Priority List communicates to the North Carolina Department of
Transportation (NCDOT) the DCHC MPO's project priorities.
* This public hearing is an opportunity for residents to have
input on future transportation project funding before the final list is
submitted to the NCDOT for discussion and negotiation on the FY
2011-2017 TIP.
* Copies of the draft Regional Priority List are currently
available for review at the City of Durham's Transportation Division in
the Department of Public Works, Durham City/County Planning Department
as well as the public libraries in Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties,
the City of Durham, and the Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and
Hillsborough. Copies are also available at the DCHC MPO Web site at
